If a furniture polish or other type of polish has stained your carpet, you should follow the directions listed to try to remove it. First, apply dry-cleaning solvent, followed by POG and blot. Follow this step by applying dry-cleaning solvent and blotting again. Now apply the detergent solution and blot one more time, and lastly, rinse with water and blot to dry. Unfortunately this type of stain is almost impossible to completely remove.
